The only way in and out of this wonderful wildlife area is by float plane. It gets interesting because the weather literally changes every few hours. So its very possible they can drop you off and NOT be able to pick you up due to fog/snow/incoming storm….
And remember everywhere we looked there were bears on the shore….We had to cut a few days short due to possible weather, but at least we didn’t have to spend the night with our furry models….

This big boy was running straight at me just about 60 ft or so away. Fortunately, he was focused on the fish you can see in the water in front of him.
This red sockeye was so beautiful in it’s spawning red with gold head. You could practically walk around the hole lake on them there were so many.
