These glass balls remind me of Christmas ornaments. I love hanging glass balls on my tree. The black glass surface really shows off the the glass at the Chihuly Glass and Garden musem. Can you tell I LOVE this place!

This portion of the exhibit was inspired my Native American baskets. He wove “threads” into the glass and let the shape resemble baskets that have flopped and caved in on the sides.

So my photography friends know that I’m often found on the ground. I just like the perspective from down there. So when we went to the Chihuly museum and this was on the ceiling….I just had to lay down!

Revisiting Chihuly
I was reminded recently that I have many photos I took of the Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle when I was there some years back. And I was hungry for color after many days of smoke filled skies.
The Chihuly is located in the Seattle Center, steps from other iconic attractions. There are indoor exhibits like I’ve shown in the first photo and an outdoor garden where glass sculptures are mixed with plants, shrubs and trees.

Indoors and out there is a vast array of Chihuly glass art.
