Not sure which these will grow up to be… but they were cute and the only younglings around at Carrie Blake Park Pond.
Sequim Farmers Market
Every Saturday March thru Oct we have a farmers market at the town hall. They block off the street for pedestrians. Everything is artisan made or grown. We have a lot of farms in the area so the produce is GREAT and prices are reasonable.
There is music & dancing and cuteness!
There are lots of different pottery and leather makers and various artists.
And LOTS of YUMMY food!
Resting Tufted Puffin
This puffin was resting with her head tucked in…occasionally opening her eyes for a peak. Taken off of Protection Island.
Faraway Friday-Salley Crabs
These Salley crabs were everywhere in the Galapagos and they JUMP!
4th of July celebration-Sequim Style
Ok my fireworks photo skills are highly lacking–(and I left my tripod in the car) But it was a GREAT show especially for a little town.
Every year the town gathers at Carrie Blake Park for the fourth. There are food vendors, activities, music all afternoon ending with the fireworks show.
The amphitheater always has music every Tuesday throughout the summer. Black Diamond Junction is a mainstay on the peninsula. Amanda Bacon a local Sequimite keeps us all entertained!
Old and young like to dance
Rhinoceros?
A Rhinoceros Auclet that is in the back. You can see his little horn on the beak. The other two are puffins. These were taken near Protection Island off of Sequim.
