Protection Island used to have one of the largest colonies of tufted puffins on the pacific coast. However this year I only saw 6 breeding pairs and a single. The experts reported only one pair left. Good Feeding Grounds
Sequim Bay and the straight between the bay and Protection Island are filled with Guillemots. They love the little eel type fish that are plentiful here.

This Baldy got an early start hunting and reaped the ire of three gulls that chased and dive bombed him incessantly. This was at Sunrise near Protection Island next to Sequim.
Wildlife Wednesday- Harbour Seals
Up in Homer Alaska there was a spit COVERED in harbor seals. They were pretty leery of us and as we got closer they started fleeing to the water. They were PLUMP lil things with giant round black eyes.
