I’ve learned not to wait when it’s time for a garden. Last year I didn’t get to it until late May and Sunny Farms Nursery had almost nothing left.
I started early this year. But as I’ve completed each phase of planting I’ve gone back for more. And each time there’s much less choice than before. Yesterday I was glad I only wanted flowers because the many options I had a couple of weeks ago are gone. Our warmer weather has been a real inspiration for anyone who wants dirt under their nails. There are many of us.
You’re getting today’s shot because I loved looking up from the flowers to see the Olympic Mountains in the distance.
Beautiful garden:)
The mountains are a delight from any angle.
I’ve tried gardening before. Nothing worked. Then someone said I was the flower of our family. Well, they didn’t put it that way, they said I was a bloomin’ idiot! No more gardening for me.
I too love the view of the mountains!
I hate it when you go to get a plant or flowers and they are no longer there. Happens a lot here. No community garden this year, we are going to be moving and just waiting to find out when. Moving down the coastline but still in Donegal. I love the view you have there, very nice!
Yes, but there is a balancing act here, because it is not reliably warm enough to plant until May 15. I go early and expect to keep going back, and some of the tender plants are kept in pots until May 15.
