Railroad Bridge Park is part of the Olympic Discovery Trail, a delight for walkers, bikers, and nature lovers. The Olympic Discovery Trail follows portions of the now defunct Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad right-of-way. The railroad ran from Port Townsend to Port Angeles for 70 years.

Very cool – there’s nothing like a great old bridge. Haven’t walked this one yet.
How long is the trail? That’s the kind of places I love!
What a wonderful place to commune with mother nature!
It is too hot to walk around outside here lately.
I hear it’s pretty cool up there.
Sounds like a dream.
Great photo. It’s nice when old rail lines are reused for the public’s benefit. I really liked the elk photos too!
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
I love this place! It is fun to visit at different times of year, especially after it snows.
Port Angeles Daily Photo
wow 70 years. fabulous
Isn’t it sad that the trains no longer run between these two towns. Perhaps someone will come along and want to make a passenger train for tourists someday – complete with history lecture and tea time offerings. I’d sign up for a ride or two or three.
Looks like an interesting place for a walk.
I am amazed at the stipulation on the length of dog leash – never seen that before. But I guess it makes sense.
Looks like a great place to visit.
