These are two parts of the trail I took at Dungeness Rec Area. In the second one when I came to the meadow three deer were looking at me, but you’ll have to squint to find them probably. Everything is so green still, not surprising with the weather we’ve had.

Hurricane Ridge
A trip to this area is not complete without going to Hurricane Ridge. It is located 17 miles south out of Port Angeles (which is about 15 miles from Sequim). You’ll definitely need good brakes coming down because it’s a pretty steep, winding road down but it’s a beautiful place, so peaceful and lots to take in. I’ve seen bear, deer and other animals on the drive there and back.
My husband took these photos yesterday. We took a trip up in the fall too, you can see those pictures here. I’ll post some more tomorrow.
Nature walk
Part of one of the nature trails at Sequim Bay State Park.
Between the rain
Yesterday it just poured down rain here. It finally let up and I loaded the dogs up for a walk at Dungeness Rec Area, but it started again about half way through.
Lower Dungeness Unit
We finally got to check out the Lower Dungeness Unit on a non-hunting day. It is mostly just field with ponds and the trail is still pretty soggy. The dogs really enjoyed it and came home a mess and needing a bath.
Robin Hill Park
The top picture is the main trail that leads you to the meadow shown in picture two. Lots of trails at this park, the horse ones are still a little muddy though.
Trail at Dungeness Rec Area
The back trails are still a little soggy (by the meadow), but the bluff and main trails are dry. There is a little trail that detours around the big puddle that is blocking the meadow trail right now.
