I grew up mindful of the date December 7th. Even as a child I remembered hearing recordings of Franklin Roosevelt saying that the date would live in infamy. In my lifetime September llth was added to chilling dates. Most of us won’t soon forget this one either.

Cloudscape
The day I took this the billowing clouds were glorious. Not so much today. Rain’s forecast.
Mountain peekaboo
It was a grey day but it looked like the mountains wanted to have a glimpse of us mortals down in the lowlands.
Western Serviceberry
Serviceberries are in bloom now and they’re gorgeous. They’re a native tree, also known as Saskatoon. In the summer these blossoms become small, dark edible berries.
Bushes all over the Dungeness Recreation area are covered with blossoms. Pretty wonderful.
River trail view
This is one of the views from the river trail walk we took last weekend. The clouds were gorgeous. Unfortunately we’re back to wall-to-wall clouds of the grey variety again. This too will pass. Soon, I hope.
Worth waiting for
A spring day finally dawned yesterday and not a moment too soon.
… … … … … …
Happy Earth Day. Care for this planet as if your life depended on it…because it does.
May sky
Here’s a springtime sky view. I’m looking forward to seeing another view like this again soon. Grey seems a popular color scheme these days.
