I went to the Red Rooster Grocery store yesterday to grab some salad greens, avocados and sweets for my sweet. I got him a piece of fresh chocolate pie and some Yvonne’s Chocolates truffles that he really likes. He about did a back flip over the pie too. The place is a little hidden (directions on their website), but it’s a nice store to check out.

Movie night?
I just noticed this place when I was driving to town yesterday. According to their website, Sequim is only one of the two locations in Washington. I’d never heard of them before seeing the sign. Their sign says .99¢ movie rentals, but their site says from .99¢ so I’m not sure on the prices. Where do you rent movies?
Sunny Farms
This is inside Sunny Farms. If you’ve ever been to Sequim you know how popular this place is, with good reason. If you haven’t been to Sequim but a visit is in your future, you should definitely check it out.
I did an experiment yesterday and smiled at every person who made eye contact with me while shopping, counting to 10 people. At Safeway 3 out of 10 people smiled back. At Sunny Farms, 8 out of 10 people smiled back. Personally, I can’t imagine seeing someone smile at me and not smiling back, but I get people have bad days and they probably dislike grocery shopping as much as I do. Maybe people don’t even realize they are doing it and are caught up in their own worlds or maybe they don’t feel a need or obligation to smile back. When you grocery shop are you aware of other people?
Inside Nash's Farm Store
I showed what the outside looked like here.
Strawberry season
Camerons U-pick Strawberry Farm. Fresh, local strawberries…yum.
Fishing for Dad
Father’s Day is coming up and my Dad is difficult for me to buy for so I went to the Fisherman’s Outlet to check it out. I had seen the place before but had never stopped by until now. There was a nice man working there and he helped me, answered my questions and hooked me up with appropriate lures and even a treat for my dogs who were waiting in the truck. Hopefully Dad will like the lures, if not I’ll have to remind him of his old words “it’s the thought that counts”
Huge Sale
Across Gilbert Road from yesterday’s post stands a tall eagle balloon, advertising a Jayco sale. He certainly catches the eye as you are driving down the road….but he has been there for quite some time. Must be a long sale.
