The Jefferson County Courthouse
The Jefferson County Courthouse majestically overlooks Port Townsend Bay and the entrance to Admiralty Inlet. Approved for construction in 1890 by the
Jefferson County Commissioners, the Romanesque style courthouse, brainchild
of Seattle architect W. A. Ritchie, was let out to contractors at an estimated cost of $150,000.00.

The first participant tipped over. He was actually trying to tip as that is how his vehicle floats. HOWEVER, all his floats fell off and he sunk.
The Viking boat did well–but then again it was a boat!
The Top Hats had to back up…they forgot to put their pontoons down…Then they got stuck before the water. (look at her expression-it’s priceless!)
The Kanuks did well. You can see the end of the dock where are the spectators are. That’s where all the teams are headed. You can see a ferry in the background.
