Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
It was cold and wintery day for a trip to anywhere, but the view from one of our ferries can make it all worthwhile. The Cascade Mountains were peeking through the clouds and the early morning sun displayed a range of color from a beautiful blue to a soft and lovely magenta.
Whenever I board the ferry, I’m always hoping for leaping orcas, humpbacks, or dolphins, but there was no whining from me on this trip…and that in itself is remarkable!
This Chihuahua/dragon rode in style when he wasn’t being carried.
I photographed her at the festival in the street and put her in an aquatic steampunk background. (This is exactly as she was dressed)
My Friend Tim is a great artist and loves making steam punk paraphernalia out of anything he can find. This outfit shows off his work.
Almost all participants at the steampunk festival had their own unique hat.
The steampunk accessories often include armament frequently made from instruments.
Every year Port Townsend hosts a steampunk Festival. There are parades (seen here), Dances and all sorts of events. People REALLY dress up for this event. Many costumes costing upwards of $1000, by the time you add all the accessories.
