The tower is back at the pier in Port Angeles. It has the BEST view. This fall day you could even see Mt Baker across the strait!

Dungeness Crab Festival
Every year the festival celebrating everything crab and with whole crab dinners takes place the second weekend of October. (Next year oct 10-12 2025) Bring you crab hat!
Long-long lines are found for the crab dinner (even at $50!) But there are lots of other seafood vendors as well.
First time festival goers..
Fall colors finally came…
Merganzers off Ediz Hook Port Angeles.
I love the “mohawk” look of these birds.
How to kiss a llama

5th HUG and makeup for the grimace!
Crabfest Main Tent
Here with the giant octopus decorations is where the crab dinners are served up. THere are also lots of other seafood vendors with crab rolls, oysters, crab cakes and my favorite Kokopelli fish and chips. (with the best tarter sauce that I can’t manage to recreate!)
Masks
There is a tall, dead tree trunk standing near the waterfront in Port Angeles called “Masks.” It’s adorned with masks by six different artists. This one is metal.
Others are clay.
The artistic styles are varied but all are interesting.
This is how the piece looks at a distance. The artists named on the plaque at the base are Gail McLain, Karl Stokee, Barbara Boerigter, Kathleen Meyer, Gene Davis, and Michael Kenney.
