Lots of opportunity in Sequim for kayaking. Dungeness Kayaking is a great place to start if you need lessons or if you are visiting and want a guided tour. Happy Father’s Day to the Dads out there.

Yesterday I attended a worm composting class presented by the Master Gardeners in Sequim. I didn’t think the worm compost bins would make a particularly attractive picture, so I went with this one. The sign by this guy says “Meet Sluggo. Sluggo is a NW native Banana Slug (Ariolimax columbianus). Unlike his fellow banana slugs who only eat detritus (dead stuff), Sluggo survives on your donations. He loves coins but is really crazy about green leafy dollar bills. Sluggo is always hungry! You are welcome to feed him as much as you like (he is NOT on a diet). Sluggo uses your donations to help maintain his garden home”
The class was very informative and well attended. I enjoyed it and walking around the gardens after it was through.
I like this path at John Wayne Marina and there are little table areas along it where you can sit and read or picnic and look out at the water. Tomorrow I’ll post the view from the other side of the hill.
It’s a nice place to walk around or sit, relax and take in the sights. I’ll post a couple more pictures from here.
