Music in the Park-Sequim

Every Tuesday at 6pm in the summer we have Music in the Park at the amphitheater in Carrie Blake Park. This night featured Black Diamond Junction which is a local favorite. Here everyone is dancing to the song SHOUT. I love the joy this little girl had dancing to it.

All the concerts are free. Everyone brings blankets and picnics.

The really fun time about living in a small town is that there is always room at an event for your family (even if you show up late!) AND you will always know lots of people. I went to the event by myself, but worked my way from group of friends to group of friends–it was a smorgasbord! A great time as usual.

Amanda Bacon always give a great show!

Famous Door–Port Townsend

This has to be one of the most photographed doors in Port Townsend.

It is the door that leads into what was the Clam Cannery in 1885, right on the water. A decade or so ago people bought the very tired warehouse and transformed it into a beautiful house on the water. The left all the beautiful outdoor patina. It looks like it is now an Air BNB.

Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival

Every September Port Townsend hosts the Wooden Boat Festival (unless there is a raging pandemic of course!)

Boat makers show their wares. Owners let people board their vessels. It’s a boat street festival with people from all over the united states attending.

I was able to get this shot early before anyone had arrived. Processed in Topaz 2 to give it a painterly effect.
