My friends and I go often to Lake Crescent in the Olympic National Park. It’s only 45 minutes from Sequim. No matter the weather there are gorgeous things to see and hike to.

I think this is a Song Sparrow…he at least thinks he is. I sat there watching him at the top of this branch sing away with a pretty lil song for almost a half an hour.
I was at the Jamestown S’klallam village at the end of Sequim Bay. They have lovely trails and benches to enjoy the wildife and the bay.
Walking thru a park you can see Canadian geese nesting everywhere. This one had built her nest next to the tree.
This one was next to a rock–otherwise right out in the open. Another was just in the middle of a field-but I lost that photo.
My biking group rode from the ferry in Bainbridge around west Seattle–this was a gorgeous view from our trail.
You have to watch out for incoming tides if you hike the 5 miles to the light house…especially if you want to get back!
This belted kingfisher was nice enough to land on the closest sailboat to the sidewalk at the John Wayne Marina. I only had my lil panasoic point and shoot.
You have to time your long walk to the lighthouse carefully….or you’ll get to walk over a LOT of logs for the hike back. High tide means no beach to walk on.
