This male was not happy that we stopped our canoe to watch his troupe in the tree tops. So he positioned himself over us and pooped (just missing my husband but hitting our guide). He got us moving again!

The rugged Washington Coast
Rialto beach never disappoints no matter what the weather. Our coastline is NOT great for swimming: Cold/rocky/terrible rip tides/ and lots of floating killer logs. But it is amazing to watch and to photograph.

This male frigate bird puffs up his red balloon on his chest to attract females. He builds his best nest and then tries to lure the females to check it out.

I love taking pictures of doors and windows and making them a bit more artistic. I used a smidge of a filter called electrified on this church window.

A natural frame for protection island
From up on Bell Hill you could see protection island and even Mt Baker faintly in the distance. Sequim doesn’t usually get much snow in town. But if you go up just 100 ft into the foothills (like the Bell Hill neighborhood) you’ll find snow.
Patience
I waited for over an hour for this eagle to take off. The light was waning away when he finally did. He looks very determined. Was that what my face looked like while I was concentrating on the shot?
