This seems like a big selection of work gloves to me. It was at the Coastal Farm store. I used to buy small ladies work gloves whenever I saw them because I found them so rarely. No shortage here.

Anemone alert
It took a moment for the sight to register in my mind: Flowers!
Sweet little anemones are a welcome sight on a cold winter’s day.
Dark with a scattering of pretty
Lately we’ve had a lot of grey days but I can still find myself taken by the view.
Toad Hall mascot
There’s a very nice house in town that has a distinctive sign that declares its name as “Toad Hall.” We drove closer and saw two of these big toads on pillars, one on each side at the entrance. They’re distinctive. But I unfortunately can’t look at them without thinking of Jabba the Hut in Star Wars.
Finding formation
It’s fascinating to watch the flight of birds that migrate together. Even in a disorganized flock like this you can see flight patterns as the birds fall into flying together. A wedge here, lines there. Add more distance and I’m sure you’ll see it: much of this group will spread into synchronicity.
Miniature
This scaled down version of an adult shoe was almost too cute at the Sequim Coastal store yesterday. It easily fit into my husband’s palm.
A nod to Leonard Cohen
“Like a bird on the wire
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free…”
