Chilly
It wasn’t a polar vortex, just a winter storm front that moved in from Canada. But we got our first snow of the winter on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Snow is rare enough here that it’s a novelty. And many people don’t know how to drive in it.
I took a walk. It’s a nice way to enjoy the altered scenery.

Clear view
The craggy Cascade Mountains run north to south through Washington and roughly divide the state. Although the Olympic range to our south is often at our visual doorstep, the Cascades to our east only show themselves to us on very clear days. Sequim Bay is in the foreground here.
