Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
I just love Washington coasts rugged beaches.
This beach is long and wide open. It’s trees are all windswept since there is nothing blocking the steady winds.
There were HUNDREDS of Pelicans at the beach. I’ve never seen so many at beach after beach this summer. Something tasty must have been passing thru the waters.
These fungi were growing all over the trees around Sol Duc Falls.
This salmon is climbing the ladder of rapids at the Solduc river. I could have sat there all day watching this determined group.
I just love the Washington coast. It’s always so rugged and beautiful. And only 60-90 minutes away from Sequim.
The ocean is so powerful. It tosses these enormous logs about like a child’s tinker toy. Every time you come to this beach after a storm or super tide you see a whole new batch. There is a great lodge here with individual cabins for rent that all face the ocean–perfect for storm watching!
