These fungi were growing all over the trees around Sol Duc Falls.

The jump of its life…
This salmon is climbing the ladder of rapids at the Solduc river. I could have sat there all day watching this determined group.
Ruby Beach
I just love the Washington coast. It’s always so rugged and beautiful. And only 60-90 minutes away from Sequim.
Kalaloch
The ocean is so powerful. It tosses these enormous logs about like a child’s tinker toy. Every time you come to this beach after a storm or super tide you see a whole new batch. There is a great lodge here with individual cabins for rent that all face the ocean–perfect for storm watching!
Washington Beaches
I believed this was at RIALTO beach (I get Rialto and Ruby beaches confused). Someday I’ll get a better note system.
SolDuc Falls
This is a BEAUTIFUL spot to hike with several loops of different lengths. Most with good boardwalks or paths. It a little over an hours drive from Sequim. If you stay at the lodge there you can g in the thermal pools. I’ve never been but it looked mighty inviting after our hikes.
Beach #2 at Kalaloch
Washington beaches get huge amounts of logs on them, especially after storms or high tides. You must be very careful to NEVER be near a log that is near the surf. The surf tosses and rolls thousand pound logs like little tinker toys, and people routinely get pinned or crushed by them.
