Every year on the third Full weekend of July (Friday Saturday Sunday) Sequim holds its’ Lavender Festival. We have a street fair, lavender farm tours (3 requiring admission AND 15 Free admission), barn dances, FREE concerts in the park and lot’s of purple fun. There are also dozens more farms in the arear that aren’t on the OFFICIAL map.

Every Saturday March thru Oct we have a farmers market at the town hall. They block off the street for pedestrians. Everything is artisan made or grown. We have a lot of farms in the area so the produce is GREAT and prices are reasonable.
There is music & dancing and cuteness!
There are lots of different pottery and leather makers and various artists.
And LOTS of YUMMY food!
Every year Port Angeles hosts the Dungeness Crab and Seafood Festival. This year had PERFECT WEATHER (not always the case–usually coats and layers are required!) For $40 you get a whole crab, ear of corn and some cole slaw. The crab is REALLY FRESH…often just out of the bay. THousands aof CAnadians come over the ferry for the festival. The Olympic Peninsula Bicycle Alliance holds a bike rodeo every year to teach kids safe biking skills.
They learn to stop safely, avoid objects, learn hand signals and road safety.
Lots of volunteers from biking groups, state park rangers, Sequim Police department were all involved.
We even got “Mad Max” here riding by himself for the first time. His mother started crying…It was a pretty cool day!
