Reflecting on Lake Crescent
This was just 30 minutes after sunrise and few clouds were still dancing about for us.
Not just Tulips–Go Daffodils!
I arrived early enough to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival to catch a few fields of daffodils in all their glory.
Skagit is just a few hours away by ferry.
Keebler Elves At Lake Crescent?
This log with the interesting natural top was at Lake Crescent. It just reminded me of an elf house. So I digitally added the ladder. The elf approved.
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
It was just barely blooming when I went this year (April 5th) this year– I went to a new smaller garden right next to the big ones. It was called Garden Rosalyn. It was all sculpted with beautiful wavy lines. There were no big fields. It was beautiful. I can only imagine when in full bloom.
I turned this into a Van Gogh style painting.
Madison Falls
This is one of the falls on the Olympic Waterfall Trail. It is a very short 1/4 mile fairly even walk to the viewpoint. I just LOVED this wild curved log that apparently has been at the bottom for almost a year now.
Lake Crescent waking up in the clouds
We had a break in the weather, so got up at 0 dark thirty to be able to arrive at the lake before sunrise. We were hoping for some clouds to make it interesting. Mother Nature did not disappoint!
