When I was hiking around Lake Crescent with my friends we encoutered this “tree fox” coming out of the log. It looked like a fox face with a snoot full of ferns/moss.

Everywhere you turn in the Olympics there is a waterfall or babling brook. This is just 40 minutes from Sequim.
I am so blessed to ses this from my window every night. Its always different. But ALWAYS beautiful.
You have to time your long walk to the lighthouse carefully….or you’ll get to walk over a LOT of logs for the hike back. High tide means no beach to walk on.
