The tribe has built a beautiful memorial at the end of the bay near all their tribal centers.
I guess it’s already here! The road to lower dungeness campground.
IF…you can get up Bell Hill in the winter with snow, you will be treated to beautiful views (it’s always beautiful- but extraordinary in winter)
Here you can see protection island and in the far distance a peak at Mt Baker.
This beautiful island in the Arctic was home to tens of thousands of birds. THe nutrients flowing from the waterfalls supported millions of shrimp–every birds favorite!
My husband hates snow…We were told that it on gets a dusting now and then in Sequim. Well, we have lived here 7 yrs and have had two major storms of over 9 inches. And it seems that every year we get 4-5 inches.
For me it has not been too much. Usually it snows over 5 inches only if you go 100 feet of elevation up into the Olympic mountain foothills–like in this picture.
This is the family homestead of one of my friends. There are lil cabins all over the property. It is beautiful in all seasons, but especially in winter.
