A new house is being built. Not many around here go upward like this one — it’s more of an urban style and footprint. But it wasn’t until the paint started to go on that my jaw dropped.

This outbuilding is found behind an older Victorian style home that may well be an early farmhouse. The property is surrounded by homes so any original farmlands have long since been subdivided.

Earlier this month I posted a partial shot of this house here and suggested I’d try to get back for a shot that showed more of it. Last week I was in the neighborhood and the light was better. There were also people visible through the front window. So this was a very quick shot.
This house near Carrie Blake Park rarely fails to catch my eye. One of these days I’ll get back there in better light so I can show you more.
It’s not all country in Sequim. There are neighborhoods with a classic suburban look to them.
