The back trails are still a little soggy (by the meadow), but the bluff and main trails are dry. There is a little trail that detours around the big puddle that is blocking the meadow trail right now.

The Red Rooster Grocery
I went to the Red Rooster Grocery store yesterday to grab some salad greens, avocados and sweets for my sweet. I got him a piece of fresh chocolate pie and some Yvonne’s Chocolates truffles that he really likes. He about did a back flip over the pie too. The place is a little hidden (directions on their website), but it’s a nice store to check out.
Camping time
The campground is open again at the Dungeness Rec Area. My dog was trying to photobomb the picture 🙂
Movie night?
I just noticed this place when I was driving to town yesterday. According to their website, Sequim is only one of the two locations in Washington. I’d never heard of them before seeing the sign. Their sign says .99¢ movie rentals, but their site says from .99¢ so I’m not sure on the prices. Where do you rent movies?
Meet Sammy
I posted about him last month. I was driving by his field and the site of him stopped me in the road, he is such a pretty horse. I couldn’t get close because it was a private entrance, but this time driving by I saw the owners there so I went in and asked if I could take a picture of him up close and they were friendly and let me. He is so much bigger up close than I was expecting! I was really excited to get to pet him. They told me he a Belgian Draft horse retired from working in Solvang California. He recently lost his partner of 18 years. He had three other horses with him and when she brought him to me, they all came too. What a dream to be able to have horses like that.
Eagles meeting
I saw all these eagles in one spot. I counted over 20 of them, but there were some over the bank too so I don’t know how many there were total. It was above the Game Farm.
Refuge work
I read in the Sequim This Week that the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge trail and entrance kiosk is having some work done. It’s expected to be done by the end of March and during this time hikers will be rerouted in order to get down to the Spit and horses temporarily can’t use the trail within the refuge.
