Feel the warmth…
It’s time to share some warmth from the summer…
Taken at Heronswood Garden.
Frostbite Flower
This beautiful flower was just thawing out when I shot this at Heronswood Gardens.
Need to feel the warmth of spring already!
I’ve been really sick this last week AND the weather has been frightful with huge wind and rain storms. So I haven’t been out shooting. When I was looking for photos to post, I found I was drawn to all bright flower photos.
Here is one from Heronswood Garden in Kingston just 40 minutes from Sequim.
Kitty B’s Lavender Farm
Taking a selfie across the farm is an interesting process…
You have to figure out where you will be –then focus. Run across the field, get set, then trigger the remote without dropping the frame! But the light at 9pm was gorgeous. The lavender is blooming late this year so the buds were barely open.
It’s Lavender time in Sequim
This is me at Kitty B’s Lavender farm in Sequim.
I love the light between 8-9pm. Definitely the Golden Hour.
The festival starts tomorrow. It’s always the 3rd weekend in July. This year the lavender is a a little late but it is blooming. If you’ve never been, the different farms all have music, food, gift tents, and of course Lavender EVERYTHING!!!
Backyard beauty
I was walking out my backdoor when I saw the light hitting these. Yet another race to my photoshop to grab a camera before the light changed.
