Skagit Valley is just a hop, skip, and a ferry ride away. The flower fields are gorgeous. I was just about a week early for the tulips. But the daffodils shined their happy faces my direction!

Not just Tulips–Go Daffodils!
I arrived early enough to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival to catch a few fields of daffodils in all their glory.
Skagit is just a few hours away by ferry.
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
It was just barely blooming when I went this year (April 5th) this year– I went to a new smaller garden right next to the big ones. It was called Garden Rosalyn. It was all sculpted with beautiful wavy lines. There were no big fields. It was beautiful. I can only imagine when in full bloom.
I turned this into a Van Gogh style painting.
Flower FUN–take a spin…
I had fun after my macro shooting session making art. Below is the original.
Spring is full of colors and textures
I’m just a bleeding heart…
The Whitney Gardens had a greenhouse full of beautiful blooming bleeding heart plants. The only trouble was trying to isolate a branch. So I did remove a lot of competing plants and add a texture to the background in photoshop to make this beautiful flower stand out.
Fallin’ for flowers
I loved this fancy daffodil I found at Pioneer Park in Sequim.
