Sequim is all about its lavender in July and August. The 3rd weekend in July is always lavendar festival. Although the last 2 covid years have put a big damper on things. The fields are once again open this year.
My friend Diana was smiling but also saying hurry up–there’s bees in here!
Had so much fun at Far Reaches Farm in Port Townsend.
Cant decide between these two point of focus…what do you think?
I shot this in 30mph winds at Far Reaches Farm in Port Townsend. He was hanging on for dear life to his FAVORITE plant–thistle!
It was hard to shoot due to the wind and I didn’t want to get whipped. It was near an old green house so my angle for getting a good background was very limited.
This Goldfinch was REALLY enjoying this thistle plant at Far Reaches Farm. ( 1818 Hastings Ave, Port Townsend, WA 98368)
This was a really tough shoot, as the winds were blowing at about 35mph and the plants and birds were whiping all around. So I’m happy they are as sharp as they are…
This nursery specialized in exotic plants from around the world.
Ahat do you do when you were going to do macro and flower photgraphy but its blowing 35 mph? Macro cactus photos–they don’t whip around in the wind!
