I posted about these eaglets last month, look how much they’ve grown. There was so much fog down there yesterday it was hard to even see the water.

Spot for a rest
We just finished up camping at the Dungeness Rec Area, we were there for almost two weeks. This is a nice place to take in the view if you need a rest on your walk or to watch the sunset.

Weather Difference part 2
Pictures taken from the same area in the Dungeness Rec Area, about 3 hours apart. Sunny and hot the first shot and the “mountains are out” and then foggy and windy in the 2nd shot and the mountains are back in hiding. When I was out on the trail before the first shot, I met a woman named Sally who told me that a change in weather was coming and pointed out the mare’s tail in the sky…I’d never heard of that term before, but she was right. Not three hours later you’d never have guessed it had been a sunny and hot day.
Weather Difference
This is why they say dress in layers around here. We took the loop walk around Dungeness Rec Area twice Sunday and the first shot is in the early afternoon, it was hot out, barely a breeze. Then the last shot was about 3 hours later, the fog had set in and the wind was whipping around hard. I’ll post a couple more showing the difference tomorrow.

Dungeness Kayaking
Lots of opportunity in Sequim for kayaking. Dungeness Kayaking is a great place to start if you need lessons or if you are visiting and want a guided tour. Happy Father’s Day to the Dads out there.
