The Clark Farm, in the distance, has a prominent and very nice looking barn. The Clark family is one of the oldest pioneer families in the area, having settled in 1853. The current elder generation opened a sweet bed and breakfast, Clark’s Chambers B & B while their son raises organic meats and poultry.

I posted a shot of this tree last January. I see it often and want to catch it throughout the year. Spring progressed quickly this year and was punctuated with rain. I nearly missed catching this tree showing its early springtime foliage. Here it is. This is a willow. I think it may be a Sitka willow (Salix sitchensis) but I need to look at it more closely with a tree guide in hand.

I followed this one for a while, until it ended right at my house.

Spring! This was a road with colorless grey twigs not long ago.
I love trees and I’ve had favorites in many places where I’ve lived. This one stands out in a beautiful setting. I have the pleasure of seeing it often.
