They’ve built really nice parks around the Lake Union area of Seattle. There were many grandparents taking their grandkids for walks. These gulls were lined up waiting.
They clearly knew what was coming next.
This shot was taken with my cell phone, hanging out my car door as the Bainbridge island ferry was approaching the Seattle dock. You can see the Smith Tower, which used to be the tallest building in Seattle, in the glorious sunrise.
Who says it rains all the time in Seattle? That’s just what they say to deter all those Californians from moving here!
You always get the best view of Seattle from the ferries. If you come to Seattle walk on to the Bainbridge island ferry from Seattle (only 35 minute crossing around $7 RT) Browse the lil downtown and then come back to this view of the Skyline (sunshine NOT guaranteed)
The Sol Duc River splits into these three tails making the falls. This is just the very top of the falls. It’s one of my favorite falls in the area.
This beach is long and wide open. It’s trees are all windswept since there is nothing blocking the steady winds.
