Reflecting on Mt Rainier
Taken early morning from the Bainbridge Island Ferry.
Seattle in sunrise from Bainbridge Island
6:35 am just taking off from Bainbridge to Seattle.
Wake up Seattle
On my ferry ride at 6:20 am the sunrise was just waking up over Seattle and the Space Needle. You can see the Cascades in the background
Lake Union is for the birds…
They’ve built really nice parks around the Lake Union area of Seattle. There were many grandparents taking their grandkids for walks. These gulls were lined up waiting.
They clearly knew what was coming next.
Sunrise over Seattle
This shot was taken with my cell phone, hanging out my car door as the Bainbridge island ferry was approaching the Seattle dock. You can see the Smith Tower, which used to be the tallest building in Seattle, in the glorious sunrise.
Seattle Skyline
Who says it rains all the time in Seattle? That’s just what they say to deter all those Californians from moving here!
You always get the best view of Seattle from the ferries. If you come to Seattle walk on to the Bainbridge island ferry from Seattle (only 35 minute crossing around $7 RT) Browse the lil downtown and then come back to this view of the Skyline (sunshine NOT guaranteed)
