Aurora from the back yard
I had been out shooting from the marina when it started to die down so I went home. When I got home I saw this view from my house!
Sequim Bay Aurora
I have never been able to capture the aurora before. This was a glorious nite with dancing colors for hours.
Moonlit Bay
I woke up yesterday early in the morning to this treat of a full moon with reflection over Sequim Bay.
Galapagos –Sea Lion
THis guy was “singing” away and posing. It was a beautiful island. This is the iconic GALAPAGOS Sea LION not to be confused with the California seal. THese guys have ears (you can se it on the right side)
Galapagos Frigate Bird flirting
The male frigate birds puff up their red pouches (which can stay inflated for days) to attract females. He hasn’t moved for a while. There is a spider web just in front of him.
Who will the female (second from left) choose?
Faraway Friday-Moonbeams at Yosemite
Hundreds of photographers swarm Yosemite on a certain day each fall when the temperature and the moon align just right to create a moonbeam in the falls at night. I was able to capture just one (see the bottom). This was taken with long exposure at 1am!
