A week of the Chihuly Gardens

(Sorry there was a Glitch in my feed–THANKS to those of you who contacted me to let me know! ALSO, my father in law is out of the hospital and doing well. I appreciate all you sweet thoughts and notes)

The Chihuly Gardens near the space needle in Seattle are simply STUNING!

If you ever have the chance to go–GO!

Olympic Iliad-Olympic Sculpture Park

Alexander Liberman’s Olympic Iliad, orange-red painted steel sculpture, installed in 1984 on the lawn southwest from the Space Needle. In the background is the famous Space Needle painted the original “Galaxy Gold” for it’s 60th birthday celebration.

I like the way people are seated all around the various sculptures found in this Seattle Park.

Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival

Every September Port Townsend hosts the Wooden Boat Festival (unless there is a raging pandemic of course!)

Boat makers show their wares. Owners let people board their vessels. It’s a boat street festival with people from all over the united states attending.

I was able to get this shot early before anyone had arrived. Processed in Topaz 2 to give it a painterly effect.

It’s Lavender time in Sequim

This is me at Kitty B’s Lavender farm in Sequim.

I love the light between 8-9pm. Definitely the Golden Hour.

The festival starts tomorrow. It’s always the 3rd weekend in July. This year the lavender is a a little late but it is blooming. If you’ve never been, the different farms all have music, food, gift tents, and of course Lavender EVERYTHING!!!
