Couple more shots from over the weekend. It’s hard to see in the picture, but all along the trail and all over our campsite was little pink flowers (roses? rose hips?) and a whole bunch of buds getting ready to go. The top picture is part of the Dungeness Spit.

Camping at Dungeness Rec Area
We were camping out at Dungeness Rec area the last few days and the weather was absolutely perfect! These are shots I took from our campsite. There were a lot of hummingbirds out there. From our camp site you can hear people walking by on the bluff trail and the funniest thing I heard was one kid say to what was probably his little brother or sister “Don’t run too far ahead or someone might steal you or you could get eaten by a bear or a cougar!”
I need to thank my neighbor friend Norma for the book suggestion of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. It is one of those books I’ve seen but kept passing up and then she said she liked it so I got it and it was perfect camping reading material. I read that and the Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.
I’ll post some more pictures tomorrow.
Bakery in Sequim
This is inside The Old Post Office Sweets and Gifts shop on Carlsborg Road. My husband had a birthday over the weekend so I went in search of pie for him at our favorite bakery in town. I found it was under new ownership and the owner greeted me and was very friendly and I hope she has much success there.
Twice Loved Books
Twice Loved Books is at 353 West Bell Street and is a great place to stop in Sequim if you are a book-lover like I am! I went on Friday to look for a book and she had one by the author I was looking for and was also able to give me a good suggestion for another one. She has a large selection of paperback books in all different subjects, it is fun to browse around there.
Lamar Lane
A road I like driving down (around Sequim, there is no shortage of them! So many different sights to take in). One great thing about all this rain lately is how green everything is.
Mailbox on Marine Drive
I think this mailbox on Marine drive is cute. Makes me think it belongs to happy people.
Eagle on Marine Drive
A couple days ago Erin commented asking about eagles in Sequim. We see a lot of eagles here. The only place I can remember seeing as many eagles as I do here was on the San Juan Islands when we vacationed there.
