The Lavender Festival starts tomorrow. It’s the largest lavender event in North America. The photo above is Port Williams Lavender, one of the farms on the tour. Locals, are you ready?

Weather Difference part 2
Pictures taken from the same area in the Dungeness Rec Area, about 3 hours apart. Sunny and hot the first shot and the “mountains are out” and then foggy and windy in the 2nd shot and the mountains are back in hiding. When I was out on the trail before the first shot, I met a woman named Sally who told me that a change in weather was coming and pointed out the mare’s tail in the sky…I’d never heard of that term before, but she was right. Not three hours later you’d never have guessed it had been a sunny and hot day.
Weather Difference
This is why they say dress in layers around here. We took the loop walk around Dungeness Rec Area twice Sunday and the first shot is in the early afternoon, it was hot out, barely a breeze. Then the last shot was about 3 hours later, the fog had set in and the wind was whipping around hard. I’ll post a couple more showing the difference tomorrow.
Lucky kids
Every time I drive by this yard, I think what a cool play set for the kids.
