Don't Wait

Technically this photo is not in Sequim…it is East in Discovery Bay. As I have driven by I would have a glimpse of an old building with part of a pier overlooking the bay. I always thought…stop and take a picture! This week when I finally stopped, I was disapointed to find it had almost collapsed. Moral…don’t wait.

Chains

IMG_0943.JPGdry.JPG
Unlike my little operation, The lavender farms have ingenious but simple methods to dry the lavender. These chains are suspended from the ceiling of the barn at Angel Farm. As you can see in the thumbnail, bundles are then hung to dry and fans are turned in to circulate the air. This helps prevent mold and mildew. They made a perfect backdrop for a visitor showing off her new lavender wreath.

Volunteers Make It Happen

smile.JPG
This smiling lady was a volunteer at Angel Farm. They had a French Theme with food from Cest si Bon. As you can tell by her shirt, she belongs to Soroptomist International. It takes a lot of volunteers to make the festival happen. I have posted other Lavender pictures on an additonal page (under the picture on the right). By Wednesday I promise to move on to something else.
