We spent a fun day in Port Townsend last Saturday. I’ll show you some of what we saw over the next several days. This schooner just happened to be passing by.

Ready and waiting
It looks like housing is set up for next year’s bird nesting.
The other side
I posted a view of this barn some time ago from a different perspective. I think I like it better from this side. Most of our agricultural lands have great views.
Unbelievable
I showed you last week what remained of the leaves on my bean plant. I can’t imagine what I expected, but I didn’t expect this a week later. Do you see any leaves left? This photo was taken from the same spot eight days after the one below.
This is downright pathetic.
Gnome village
Our overhanging evergreen trees sometimes nestle surprising sights such as this whimsical little gnome village.
It was well shaded underneath the tree boughs but we found some little vignettes.
There was a lot of miniature activity.
This guy was almost hidden. It was a fun find.
Back roads barn
We came across this magnificent barn driving down a back road recently.
It has a nice view of the mountains but this side has a lot of vehicles parked next to it. Thus, an attempt at judicious framing.
Theme Day: Orange
For today’s first of the month Theme Day challenge of “Orange” I chose a pair of classic tractors on display for Farm Day at the local Agnew Store.
And for good measure here’s a warty orange pumpkin.
