Mud: Coffee time in Sequim

Okay. Technically this isn’t in Sequim. It’s Gabby’s on Carlsborg Road in Carlsborg. But I’ve included it because it’s close enough that you might drive through on your way to and from Sequim and I count it as number nine of this series.

But wait! We’re not done yet! We do, of course, have two Starbucks (numbers 10 and 11). But I suppose you already know what they look like, don’t you?

“Man does not live by coffee alone. Have a danish.”  — Author Unknown

This concludes my series on Sequim coffee spots. . .at least until the next one pops up.

Jolt: Coffee time in Sequim

Back on Washington Street, heading west, is another coffee spot, White Cup. The same red car is crashing through the west side of the roof. I’m guessing there were one too many double espressos involved. How many coffee spots in Sequim are we up to now?

“Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.”  — Jessi Lane Adams

Jitters: Coffee time in Sequim

The last coffee outpost on Sequim Avenue, at Old Olympic Highway, is the Cracked Bean. After you leave this spot and continue north you’re on your own. Maybe you ought to fill up your thermos if you don’t think you can hold out until you get back into town. Six coffee spots and still counting.

“It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity. I bet this kind of thing does not happen to heroin addicts. I bet that when serious heroin addicts go to purchase their heroin, they do not tolerate waiting in line while some dilettante in front of them orders a hazelnut smack-a-cino with cinnamon sprinkles.”  — Dave Barry

Go juice: Coffee time in Sequim

If you miss the first Sequim exit off Highway 101, take the next one for Central Sequim and drive north on Sequim Avenue. Just about the first thing you’ll see as you come off the highway, on the west side of the street, is Red Dog Coffee. This is the third coffee spot and you’ve barely set foot in town.

“Way too much coffee. But if it weren’t for coffee, I’d have no identifiable personality whatsoever.”  — David Letterman
