Hillside color
In addition to wild daisies I showed you a couple of weeks ago, we also have lots of poppies blooming these days. Here’s a combination of golden and asiatic poppies blooming on a hillside. That yellow patch back to the left is scotch broom, a colorful but nasty invasive.
Looking for sun
We’ve had a lot of days like this lately. Yesterday the sun peeked out of the famous “Blue Hole” but we got rain the night before. What’s that about tomorrow being the first day of summer??
Sandy’s Kitchen Shop
Sandy’s Kitchen Shop is located in the same mall as the Sequim Police Department, which I showed you yesterday. I have a weakness for glass and this display in the window was irresistible. But, in truth, Sandy’s in generally irresistible for all things kitchen.
Sandy’s has a great array of all things kitchen, from small appliances like coffee makers to special embellishments for baking. I’ve not shown the nuts and bolts of pots and pans, measuring cups, and tableware. It’s a well chosen selection.
I worried when I moved to Sequim where I might find the things to round out the kitchen. Sandy’s has never failed me.
Sequim Police Department
Here is the Sequim Police Department. It’s located in the corner of a mall on Washington Street. Unpretentious and pretty unassuming, in my opinion. That works for me.
