A sign of the times: the public is no longer welcome at the Dungeness Recreation Area.
I can understand that camping has been discontinued. But so has walking. Beyond the gate and this sign is another that reads “Do Not Enter.” And just in case it wasn’t clear, yellow caution tape has also recently been strung across the signs and bollards.
I haven’t seen hummers gathering materials from cattails but I suppose it won’t be long until they’re putting on aerial displays and building nests.
I’d like to wallpaper the world with daffodils.
There’s a lot of hype and joking these days about people in the U.S. stockpiling toilet paper. That may be good and well. I’ve made sure I have enough tea. And coffee, too.
I take notice when I see big birds around our property. I’m always pleased to see great blue herons, even if it’s not close enough for a vanity shot. I love this one’s strut.
It looks to me as if the expansion to Sequim’s Olympic Cancer Center is complete or close to it. This new area includes more space for infusion rooms and offices. Here’s what it looked like last year.
Life is…different. So much that has kept us busy is now deemed non-essential and cancelled.
These are times to consider this: What, after all, really is essential?
