Our lavender season is winding down. Most lavender is harvested at its peak, either sold in fresh or dried bouquets or distilled into essential oil used for many purposes. In normal years the annual Lavender Festival is a big draw.

Lovely!
Hello,
I love the dried lavender sachets and oils. It is my favorite scent. It is sad about the Lavender Festival.
Love the photo! Have a happy day and a great week!
Your postings made me curious in wondering if there are any Lavender Festival near me. Turns out that a hour and a half drive away there was one that was supposed to be held on July 4. Unfortunately it was cancelled because of Covid-19. Here’s the link….

I love this photo! Lavender has so many uses. I even have some lavender salt.
This is a lovely pic, Kay!
The tomatoes from the slices have not been a great success. I got only 2 cherry tomatoes from 3 plants. The larger tomatoes gave me 11 tomatoes fro 3 plants. None of them have started to ripen yet. I don’t think I will bother with this method again but it was fun to try especially when I couldn’t buy plants until late spring.
People are missing everywhere this year. We have a festival, Mary from Dungloe, that got cancelled, it was supposed to happen last week. Sad, everyone is feeing the pinch this year.
What a lovely photograph this is …
It is a shame that this year so many festivals like the Lavender one cannot be held.
All the best Jan
Reminds me that we are looking forward to Spring
