Summer is the best time to see the American Goldfinch here. It’s always amazing to see them perched in a thin weed stalk no thicker than a pencil lead as they peck for a meal of seeds. This is a male in his bright yellow, showy plumage.

Gorgeous find.
What a pretty pretty bird.
Hello
The male Goldfinches are so bright and pretty! Lovely capture! Enjoy your weekend!
A handsome chap.
and a very attractive goldfinch too.
I usually see them when visiting my Dad but haven’t been able to see him until this week and only in an area isolated from the rest of the facility.
What a beauty he is! I love seeing them at the Desert Botanical Garden. They can be such contortionists while picking away for seeds.
