Land of plenty

Like many other places, Sequim was subject to panic buying in March. I knew something was up one day at Costco when I was in a checkout line where virtually every shopping cart but mine had massive packages of toilet paper.

Costco was out of toilet paper for a couple of weeks but they’ve now amply resupplied.

I still don’t get why TP became such a thing. But there’s certainly been plenty of internet humor about it.

  1. I am yet to see any in the supermarkets I visit since the craziness set in. Glad I already had enough to do me a month or two.

  2. Also here was not getting the toilet paper for a while …
But what I mind is that I can’t find wheat flour … Is very frustrating!

  3. There is only one stupid, irritating ass hole in the USA that would need that much toilet paper. Sorry, but I felt compelled to say so.

  4. I finally got some Friday morning when I went to Safeway at 6 AM. However, there were only 6 packages left on the shelf. It’s good to know that Costco has caught up. I saw my first line up of people waiting to get into a store yesterday. It was at Trader Joe’s.
