“…He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbours.’
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
‘Why do they make good neighbours? ‘”
From “Mending Wall” by Robert Frost
Nice weathered fence! I like Robert Frost’s poetry, it’s refreshing to read every now and then. When I lived in Derry, NH, I used to drive by his farmhouse everyday on the way to work.
A good subject for black and white.
A perfect pic with the poem!
Perfect combination of words and image Kay, perfect for black and white too ✨
