A first
I hadn’t seen a sign like this before.

I understand Dalmatian dogs are often deaf.
I have seen deaf child signs before but deaf dog is first for me.
It’s a first for me too Kay! Either they don’t want their dog startled or they don’t really have a dog ๐
A first for me as well.
That is new to me too. There used to be a deaf Boxer dog at our park and the owners also had another dog who would watch over him and give him a nudge if someone was talking to him.
I haven’t either. The locals are trying to make the road safe for the dog and letting drivers know too.
Kay,
I found a sign a couple winters ago in the hills above Morse Creek, east of Port Angeles, along a driveway.
Sadly, it is no longer there.
I can send you a copy of the photo in an email if youโre interested. It said:

Young Dog
Several stupid dogs

Thank you, Gary. No need to send a photo. You’ve painted a fine picture with the words alone! ๐
