One of the pleasures of driving down an unfamiliar road is unexpectedly coming across the odd barn here and there. Our agricultural heritage is never far away.

I love old barns (we call them sheds) and shearing sheds. Since I live in the country they are everywhere. Our sheds a however typically build of corrugated iron rather than the timber style you show here.
My favourite way to explore is getting off the speeding expressways which gives me the chance to slow down and notice things.
We definitely need a barn theme!
That is a nice one Kay! Love that blue sky too.
A surprise is always nice to see in an unfamiliar place. Wonderful capture of this beauty!
where is this barn?
Ron, it’s on the north side of Old Olympic as the road curves toward Kendall Road. It may be off Mantle, after you turn left on Scott, at the end. Or it may be Lotus Lane. I’m not sure which.
There is something comforting about old weathered wood! A nicely proportioned barn!
