Twisted
I wonder: How does a tree grow like this?

Something was certainly wrapped around the tree at onetime… maybe rope? What every it was, it sure did leave it’s mark.
It certainly is an odd phenomenon Kay, I have often wondered this myself when I see a twisted tree trunks like this. Happy weekend ✨
You wonder if, at some point, it was subjected to stress.
Interesting tree, I never saw one twisted like this. Maybe William’s comment is correct.
Certainly is unique. I smiled at the word “twisted” because I usually think of it as describing a weird, even evil, person. Like the tree better than that, tho.
Suggests to me that a vine was wrapped around it at some point. You see them like that in the rainforest but not typically in parkland.
