This time of year the goldenchain trees (laburnum) look glorious, like a yellow wisteria. These two set off an equally beautiful ceanothus, another shrub/tree that does well here.
This is a closer look at the goldenchain blossoms. They leave behind seedpods after blossoming. I was surprised to learn that these are toxic.

Yes, I would have guessed that was a yellow wisteria tree. Very pretty, whatever. Sounds like you need a bigger highway coming into town. You may have to join the town council to get that going! Glad to hear you also take photos on the golf course. I have to ride as my legs won’t let me walk anymore. Today there were a number of women walking on our course and they attach umbrellas to their push carts to keep the sun off them for part of the time, at least.
Oh gosh they are gorgeous Kay, they do indeed look like Wisteria. What a shame they’re toxic!
