Last years crop is still useful.
I like cat tails a lot, maybe because they look all cozy and warm. So, I can see why birds would like to use them for nesting materials. I checked your previous post and you did a good job showing how humming birds get material from cat tails to feather their nests!
Very clever idea use of materials for a nest. The hummingbird in your 2013 post is incredible, just picking the cattails to bring to his new nesting home. Wonderful post, Kay!
